Dorian has been a great addition to our herd.  He is turning into a tall boy.  He is a very energetic breeder and difficult to keep weight on during rut as seen in the picture!

Joy is a large doe and our heaviest Saanen milker.  Structurally, she is lovely girl with an excellent mammary system.  She did win her dry leg as a kid but she does not like the show ring.   We may try again as I think she would do well but she may win this battle as she is a good girl at home.  We hope to try a one day milk test in 2021.  Passed down from her dam, Joy has Alpha s/1 Casein B/F.  Milk stand picture below is from 2020, Joy on the right and yearling daughter Layla on the left.  Then Joy as a kid and Joy's dam, Exceptional, as a yearling.

Jeze is a sweetheart of a doe, easy to milk, easy to get along with and easy to keep fat.  She is a big girl, weighing in at slightly over 200#s when this picture was taken.  She truly is white and not cream but was incredibly dirty.   She is also polled which is a big plus to me.    Below is a rear view of her 2020 udder and one of her buck kids.  Normally, she has one polled and one horned kid.

Like the rest of the family line, Layla is a big girl, pictured here as a bred yearling.  And like the rest of her line, her yearling udder, pictured below, was small for her frame but we know it will eventually catch up.  She was easy to milk, either by hand or by machine and had plenty of milk for her two doe kids plus enough for us.  That is all we ask of our yearlings.  Layla placed first in her kid class the only time shown.  We have not checked the Alpha s1 Casein status of Layla but plan to do so in 2021.

Knowitall is not a tall girl.  We actually kept her because she was just a small kid, a twin to a huge buckling.  She is still not big but is one of our prettiest and most correct does.  We kept her dry as a yearling, waiting for her to grow.  She is pictured here with her 2020 daughter, Martha, who is now larger than her dam!  Knowitall may not be a big girl, but she is one of my favorites, due to her pleasant nature.  Smaller picture below is Martha who is sired by Dorian.

Liberty is a nice, solid doe who won her junior leg the only time shown.  She raised a super nice single buckling as a yearling in 2020 but did get a slight uneveness to her udder.  We hope to even that out and try to get her back in the show ring.  She has a lovely head but with no goat holder on picture day, she chose not to show it!

Picture is of Dandy in 2021.  She is starting to get some age on her but is still a good strong doe and producer. Smaller picture is of Dandy as a yearling milker, and udder picture as 2 year old, I think.  I need to label pictures better.
